Cyberpunk 2077 Cheats on PC: Console and Commands
There are no cheat codes in Cyberpunk 2077 and no developer console you can open out of the box. On PC that changes with one framework, Cyber Engine Tweaks, which adds a Lua console to the game. Money, items and levels are one line each there. Attribute points are not, and that is the interesting part.
Takeaways Three ways to cheat in Cyberpunk 2077 on PC
- One respec, ever The game itself Perks refund for free since 2.0. Attributes reset exactly once per playthrough. No console, no codes.
- Free, Lua console Cyber Engine Tweaks Money, any item, level and attributes by script. One CET build per game patch, so it waits after every update.
- 34 cheats, 1 free Trainer Nineteen of them on skills and experience, each carried twice for the pre-2.0 and 2.0 systems. No script, no console.
No console ships with the game, so the first cheat is installing one
Cyberpunk 2077 launched without a developer console and never gained one. What PC players use instead is Cyber Engine Tweaks, an open-source framework that hooks into the game and adds an overlay with a Lua console. You bind a key for the overlay on first launch, open it in game, and type.
One thing to know before downloading: each CET build supports exactly one game patch. Version 1.37.1, released on 28 September 2025 according to the project’s release history on GitHub, is built for patch 2.31. When CD Projekt ships the next patch, CET stops working until its authors follow, which historically takes a few days.
The commands people actually use
The console speaks Lua against the game’s own functions. Syntax below follows the CET console documentation.
| What you want | What you type |
|---|---|
| Eddies | Game.AddToInventory("Items.money", 100000) |
| Any item by record | Game.AddToInventory("Items.SQ031_Samurai_Jacket", 1) |
| Character level | Game.SetLevel("Level", 60, 1) |
| Set an attribute | PlayerDevelopmentSystem.GetInstance(Game.GetPlayer()):GetDevelopmentData(Game.GetPlayer()):SetAttribute("Strength", 15) |
| Attribute points to spend | ...:AddDevelopmentPoints(5, gamedataDevelopmentPointType.Attribute) |
The gap between the first row and the last two is the whole story. Money is one short line. Attributes are a chain of system calls that most people copy from a forum post without reading, and the item command needs the internal record name of the thing you want, which you look up in a separate tool.
What the game changed in 2.0, and why respec is still the sore point
Update 2.0 rebuilt the character sheet. Perks now refund for free, as often as you like, from the Character screen. Attributes got a Reset Attributes button in the same place, usable exactly once per playthrough. The old route, a 25,000 eddie shard called Tabula e-Rasa, is gone.
Once is the number that matters. A V built for blades who discovers netrunning at level 30 gets one do-over, and the game hands out one attribute point per level to a cap of 60. There is no second reset in the game, and this is the request the CET command chain above exists to serve.
Where the trainer sits
The Cyberpunk 2077 trainer lists 34 cheats, and 19 of them are in skills and experience. That is not an accident. Add attribute points, add perk points, add relic points, add each of the five skill experiences, and then every one of those again with a 2.0 suffix, because the update changed how progression is stored and the trainer carries both systems rather than dropping the old one.
Four cheats go the other way: reset perk points, attribute points and relic points to zero. That is the second respec the game does not offer, as a switch.
Only one cheat is free, and it is the money one. Everything else, godmode, no reload, no recoil, infinite RAM, stealth, infinite breaching time and the whole progression group, needs the premium plan.
What to install, if anything
Just the game if one attribute reset is enough. For most people it is, and the free perk refund covers the rest.
Cyber Engine Tweaks if you are comfortable with a script console, want a specific item by record name, or already run mods that need it. It is free and it is the foundation half the Cyberpunk modding scene stands on.
The trainer if you want the attribute points without the system call chain, and you would rather not lose your console for a week after every patch. It changes values in memory and needs nothing installed inside the game folder.
Infographic Three ways to cheat in Cyberpunk 2077 on PC Click to enlarge Does Cyberpunk 2077 have cheat codes?
No. There is no code entry and no built-in console on any platform. On PC the community framework Cyber Engine Tweaks adds a console, and everything people call Cyberpunk 2077 console commands runs through it.
What is the Cyberpunk 2077 money cheat?
With Cyber Engine Tweaks installed, open its console and type Game.AddToInventory("Items.money", 100000). The number is the amount of eddies. A trainer does the same with one switch and no script.
Can you respec attributes in Cyberpunk 2077?
Once per playthrough since update 2.0, through the Reset Attributes button on the Character screen. Perks can be refunded as often as you like. A second attribute reset needs a script or a trainer.
Does cheating in Cyberpunk 2077 disable achievements?
The game has no achievement lockout tied to mods or memory editing. Cyberpunk 2077 is single-player, so the usual concern about fairness does not arise either.
