Euro Truck Simulator 2 Money Cheat on PC
The Euro Truck Simulator 2 console is real and easy to switch on, and it has no command that gives you money. Every money cheat you will find is one of three other things: a bank loan, a number in the save file, or a trainer. Here is what each costs, on version 1.59.

The console exists, and it does not do money
Switching the console on takes two lines. Open config.cfg under Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2, set g_developer and g_console from 0 to 1, save, start the game, and the tilde key opens it. The Truck Simulator wiki’s console page walks through it for Windows, macOS and Linux.
Then comes the part the guides skip. The commands that work are g_set_time to push the clock forward, g_set_weather, g_traffic 0 to empty the roads, goto with a city name to teleport the free camera, and warp to change the simulation speed. Useful, all of it. None of it touches the wallet. There is no g_money, no add_money, nothing that reads a number and puts it in the bank. Pages that print such a command have not tried it.
So the console is a tool for a screenshot at dusk in Antwerp, not for the garage in Antwerp.
Route one: the bank, which is the intended cheat
Euro Truck Simulator 2 has a money cheat built into its economy, and it is the loan screen. The bank page on the wiki lists four sizes:

You can hold ten loans at once up to a 500,000 ceiling, repayment comes off at noon every game day, and you can settle early to save interest. A first truck paid for with the 100,000 loan earns more per delivery than a quick job does, which is the whole point, and the game says so in its tutorial. Miss the payments for three days and the bank closes every garage except headquarters and takes trucks to cover it.
That is a money cheat with a daily reminder attached. Plenty of players run the company on it for fifty hours.
Route two: the save file
Since version 1.59 of May 2026 the game still writes saves in a compressed format by default, which is why opening game.sii in Notepad shows noise. The switch is g_save_format: set it to 0 in the same config.cfg, as the Trucky companion app documents, start the game, and save once so a plain-text file exists. Then the save folder under your profile holds a readable game.sii, and inside it a line money_account: followed by a number. Change the number, save the file, load the game.
Two things go wrong here regularly. The first is the format: a save written before the switch stays compressed, so you have to save once after the change. The second is the edit itself. game.sii is a few megabytes of structured text, and a stray character in the wrong block means the profile will not load. Copy the whole save folder before you open anything.
Experience sits in the same file as experience_points, and the six skills next to it, if you also want the ADR and long-distance jobs unlocked.
Route three: the trainer, where money is the free part
The Euro Truck Simulator 2 trainer lists 18 cheats, three of them free, and the three free ones are the whole money question: Add Money, Sub Money and unlimited fuel. That is the loan screen without the noon reminder, and a fuel bill of zero on top.
The other fifteen say something about what actually eats the money in this game. Fourteen of them are damage and wear: chassis, engine, transmission, cabin, wheels on the truck and on the trailer, the trailer itself, cargo, each with a no-damage switch, and then chassis, engine, transmission, cabin and wheels again with a no-wear switch. Damage is the collision. Wear is the mileage. Both send you to a service station, and the service station is where a delivery fee goes to die. The fifteenth is Add XP, and Never tired belongs in that group too, because the fatigue timer forcing a rest is the other bill the game hands you.
Which route
The bank if you want the game as designed and a faster start. It is free, the interest is the price, and it teaches you to read the delivery fee.
The save file if you want one number changed once and do not mind a text editor. Back the folder up. Every ruined profile on the SCS forum started with someone who did not.
The trainer if you want the money now, the fuel bill gone, and the service station off the route for good. It changes values in memory on your own PC, offline.
The drive is still the drive. The trainer only removes the bookkeeping around it.
