Gothic 1 Remake drops you into the Colony too weak for most fights, and trainers, maps and lockpicks all cost ore nuggets you have to earn first. Six of the 25 cheats are free, and four of them raise or lower strength and dexterity, the two stats that decide which weapons you can use.

Why cheats make sense in Gothic 1 Remake
Early on, Scavengers, Goblins and Molerats are about all you can beat, and guides tell you to avoid the rest until you have leveled. Diego raises strength and dexterity for learning points, and the better skills want ore nuggets on top. A lockpick snaps after two wrong moves on the plates, and the next one costs ore again. The trainer adds experience and skill points, sets your ore, keeps a lockpick in one piece, and teleports you to the gates of the Old, New and Swamp Camp.

Strength and dexterity are free
Better weapons stay out of reach until strength or dexterity is high enough, and Diego in the Old Camp only raises them for learning points. The trainer adds or subtracts either stat for free. Add experience and Add skill points take care of the other trainers. -
Lockpicks break on the second mistake
Locked chests across the Colony hold ore and loot. Two wrong slider moves break the pick, and replacements cost ore. Indestructible lockpick keeps one pick through every attempt. -
Ore pays for everything
Training, maps, weapons and armor all cost ore nuggets, and each hunting skill at Drax runs between 150 and 250. A mine gives three nuggets per swing at first and one after that. Set ore nuggets writes the amount directly.

How do you get ore nuggets fast in Gothic 1 Remake?

Can you teleport between the camps?
The trainer has teleports to the Old Camp North Gate, the Swamp Camp East Gate and the New Camp South Gate, plus three slots for positions you save yourself.
