Why cheats make sense in Dead Island 2
Every swing costs stamina, every weapon degrades, and a horde in a Los Angeles cul de sac gives you no room to back up. Thirteen cheats work on health and stamina, five on items, because a fight that goes wrong takes your weapon with it. Unlimited stamina and auto heal are both free, which covers the two reasons a run ends.

Enemies scale in both directions
Very strong AI at 33 percent damage taken, weak AI at 250 percent, plus three movement speed settings. The trainer lets you set where the fight sits rather than turning it off. -
Stamina is the melee budget
Unlimited stamina is premium, refill and a 33 percent cap are free. Each swing, block and dodge draws from it, and running out in the middle of a horde is how most deaths happen. -
Weapons break
Five item cheats including durability. Dead Island 2 hands out weapons constantly and then wears them down, so the good one you found is on a timer from the moment you pick it up.
