Why cheats make sense in Baldur's Gate 3

A d20 decides whether the conversation you prepared for goes your way, and a failed roll can close a questline for the rest of the run. The trainer carries switches for a guaranteed 20, 30 and 40, and a critical fail for anyone who wants the other direction. Add the six ability scores and the party selection, and you can fix the build you regret without restarting eighty hours in.

  • The dice do not care about your plan

    Always 20, always 30, always 40 and always critical fail are four separate switches. Persuasion, stealth and every skill check run through one roll, and in Act 3 a failed roll costs more than a reload.

  • Eleven cheats are the character sheet

    Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma each have a set switch, plus selection for Astarion, Shadowheart, Gale, Wyll and the rest. Respec exists in game, but it costs gold and a trip to Withers.

  • Game speed is free, three times over

    2x, 3x and 4x speed are all free cheats. Turn based combat is precise and slow, and the fourth time you clear the same camp, precision is not what you are there for.

Do cheats disable achievements in Baldur's Gate 3?

The trainer changes values in memory rather than enabling the game's own debug mode, but the honest answer is that we cannot promise how any given patch handles it. If achievements matter to you, test on a save you can lose.

Does this work in co-op?

No. The trainer works in single-player only and has no effect on a shared session.
