Money/Resources
- Geo is lost where you die, along with a piece of maximum soul, and getting it back means beating the shade guarding it. This adds Geo directly instead of that return trip.
Health/Energy
- Healing costs soul, and soul comes from landing hits while trying not to be hit. This refills the resource that both draw from.
- A one-time top-up on the health system, separate from the full godmode cheat below it.
- Removes the risk of the Geo-and-soul loop entirely, for exploration over combat.
Why cheats make sense in Hollow Knight
Geo is lost where you die, along with a piece of your maximum soul, and recovering it means returning to the place that killed you and beating the shade guarding your money. That loop is the game's only real punishment, and it is the reason the one free cheat adds Geo. Refill focus matters because healing costs soul, and soul comes from hitting things you are trying not to be hit by.

Plus 100 Geo is the free cheat. Everything you were carrying drops at the spot, and getting it back means a second attempt at the thing that already won once. -

Refill mana and focus. Soul powers both your spells and your healing, so a bad fight leaves you unable to do either. -
